A bolo tie is a type of necktie consisting of a piece of cord or braided leather with decorative metal tips and secured with an ornamental clasp or slide. It all began with a demand for a reliable source for horsehair hat bands – and we figured out how to provide that supply! Our owner had to learn to master the art of braiding & dying horsehair. We use specialty dyes to get that “horse of a different color” feel when needed. We’ve even matched green olives when a customer needed this color cording for apparel garnishing!
